EMR/RCM Product Owner

At Sunwave Health—a leading Behavioral Health SaaS provider—we’re seeking a dynamic Techno-Functional Analyst to drive our EMR/RCM solutions forward. In this role, you will directly impact clinical workflows, billing, and revenue cycle processes, ultimately revolutionizing behavioral healthcare and improving patient outcomes.
  • Perform detailed functional analyses of customer needs, translating them into precise, actionable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide technical and functional support for Sunwave systems, troubleshooting issues related to workflows, data, and system interfaces.
  • Conduct functional testing to ensure that new features and enhancements meet specified requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Account Management, Customer Support, and Engineering to prioritize and manage the product backlog.
  • Actively participate in Agile processes (sprints, stand-ups, backlog grooming) to ensure timely delivery of EMR/RCM features.
  • Create release notes and maintain up-to-date functional documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience within the healthcare industry—ideally in Behavioral Health—with deep knowledge of EMR and/or RCM systems, including admissions, clinical workflows, billing, insurance claims processing, posting, collection, and accounting reporting.
  • 3+ years of experience working with SaaS products.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner.
    Experience with modern SaaS tools and agile methodologies is highly valued.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to prioritize features based on business impact, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
